…Have I been? Ugh, I know I know, I really need to be more consistent with this whole blogging thing; I’m working on it, I promise!
Now on to the real reason that I’m writing this post….T25. Are you famililar with this phenomenon? If not I will enlighten you; but first let me say that this workout program may quite possibly be the WORST thing I have ever done…EVER. I’m fairly certain that this has been created and sent to me by the Devil himself -aka- Shaun T. Many of you have probably heard of this fella and some of you may have even embarked on his other popular workout program, Insanity. If you are one of those brave souls, I commend and applaud you. I am also shocked that you lived through that ordeal and are able to read this post. KUDOS!
For some strange reason I decided that it was time to get back in the gym and get myself together; It was probably all of this spring and summer talk that has been going on. In any case, I decided to order T25 from amazon Sunday night and thanks to Prime, it arrived at my house yesterday. My box came with a resistence band, workout schedule, nutrition guide and we can’t forget those all important
devilish little workout dvds. I was excited….until I pushed play. It was literally non-stop movement for 25 minutes (and yes I know how pathetic that sounds). No water breaks…no “I think I might be dying and need a moment” breaks…nothing. The slowest and most enjoyable part were the squats; I’ve never been so excited to do squats in my life. On the flip side, I don’t think there has ever been a time where I enjoyed a jumping jack less. The struggle.
Needless to say the program is hard. And yes, I knew it would be I’m not an idiot. I guess I just didn’t realize how terribly out of shape I actually am (le sigh). But in any case I will keep going; who knows, maybe today I won’t throw up (I told you it was a struggle). I’m sure I will keep you all posted (cause I’m sure you’re dying to know about my journey – thanks for playing along) on the wild ride that is T25! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go roll around in discomfort and take a nice epsom salt bath!
