DAY 5: MY PROUDEST MOMENT
This is a relatively easy one for me. My proudest moment is easily when I graduated college. For those of you who know me, you know that college wasn’t even thought to be an option for me post high school (I think I mentioned my challenges around this time in my life in a previous post). I barely made it out of high school in one piece (shoutout to Jordan for making that happen) so the thought of college was disturbing to say the least. My grades were mediocre at best and I just didn’t have it in me. I took 4 years off and lived my life to the fullest which was the best decision I have ever made. I traveled some, forged meaningful relationships and just became more confident in my ability to do something…anything. People always told me that I could do it, of course I didn’t believe them, so the four years I took off were vital in boosting my confidence. When I was finally ready to return to school, I had a new sense of self and felt much more comfortable in my academic (and life in general) abilities! I graduated from Georgia State University in 2013 with a 3.82 GPA. While the number doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, it matters to me. Coming from a place where I could barely get by in high school, to crushing it in college was a proud moment for me. I finally proved to myself that I could do what everyone had been telling me I could do all along!

That really is something to be proud of! A lot of hard work goes into it. Congratulations! xo
Aww! Thank you so much, you’re too kind!
3.82 GPA?! Girl you better!
Hahaha! Don’t look at that high school GPA though. Ooooo child.
