DAY 20: WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY
Well, there are many things that make me happy: Chili cheese dogs, concerts, Logan Huntzberger, The Backstreet Boys, Coca-Cola, cinnamon toast, my amazing friends, Thelma, fried okra…I could do this all day, folks! But for this particular post I will just outline a few things that keep me smiling (and frowning…we’ll get to that in a minute)!
SPORTS: I’m sure this first one comes as no surprise. I have an intense love affair with sports, as I’ve mentioned before (don’t worry, David knows about us); they can make me absolutely crazy, but I just can’t quit. They make me happy, sad, anxious…really they make me feel all of the emotions. Despite the amount of tears I’ve shed for my beloved Braves, Falcons (it still hurts), Hawks, Jackets and Tigers, I still have to watch. They are the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think about before I go to bed (besides David of course). They tell me the intensity/overwhelming nauseous feeling I get when I tune in to the games will decline over time….I’m still waiting. Here’s to hoping that one day I won’t feel like I’m dying inside if (and when) my team chokes another championship away…but either way, I’ll still be tuned in.
BAE: Well I can’t really have a list of things that make me happy and not include Bae now can I?! Don’t worry, I won’t be too mushy. David and I have been together for what probably feels like a lifetime and half to him. We met at the ACC Championship game a little over for years ago (clearly it was fate) and we’ve been together ever since. He’s the most genuine person I’ve ever met. He keeps me laughing and puts up with all of my moods (God bless him). He’s a real treat! I hope you all find a ‘David’ at some point in your lives!
CONCERTS: Along with Sports, David, Chili cheese dogs, and all the other things I mentioned above, I couldn’t really have a “what makes me happy” list and not include concerts. I may not be the best with movies, but music I’ve got down pat. I love going to concerts, especially those that take place in the summer, at an outdoor venue, in a different city. There’s something about being in a different arena with 35,000 (or more) of your closest friends that gives me a rush. I’m not at all picky when it comes to what kind of music I’ll go see live; if it sounds decent, I’m there. It’s more about the experience for me anyways, I mean don’t get me wrong, I love seeing bands/performers that I fan-girl over…but I don’t mind seeing someone my friends like and I don’t. As long as their happy, it’s a good time for me!
So those are a few of the things that keep me happy! What about you? What makes you happy?
