Happy Monday friends and welcome back to the blog! I’m coming to you with another Monday Motivation post, only this time I am including a quick 20 minute cardio workout with it! I don’t know about you guys, but I have been trying to be much more diligent in my health and fitness efforts…and let me tell you; it’s been hard y’all. I am currently working through Turbo Fire (a beachbody program) but like mixing yoga, tabata & other HIIT workouts into my regimen! For many people, sticking to a routine feels impossible; between work, school, kids and maintaining a household, it’s hard to find the energy to do ANYTHING else; I totally get it! That’s why I try and stick to shorter workouts (20-40 min), I feel like I can commit to setting aside 30 minutes, at least 4 times a week to get my sweat on. Of course there are days when I’m the mood for something a little longer, maybe a 90 minute yoga session or an hour long fitness class; but the beauty is that I don’t HAVE to commit to that if I don’t want to. If I’m running short on time or I’m really just not in the mood, I remind myself that all I NEED to do is 20-30 minutes; just because it’s shorter, doesn’t mean it doesn’t count! So with that being said, I hope you guys enjoy this quick cardio blast, I will leave the rules and exercises down below!
**Disclaimer: I’m not a medical professional or personal trainer, so please consult with your doctor before starting any new workout regimens!**
- Perform as many reps as you can of each exercise for 1 minute before moving to the next exercise.
- If you find yourself struggling to maintain proper form, slow your pace but keep going.
- Listen to your body and take water breaks as needed!!!!!
- After completing all exercises (1 minute each = 10 min total), take a 2 min break and repeat 1x!
- Jumping Jacks
- Chair Step-Ups
- High Knees
- Cross Jacks
- Mountain Climbers
So that’s it for this quick 20 minute cardio blast! Let me know if you try it out and what you think! What is your favorite workout to do when you’re short on time, and how do you guys stay motivated to put your health first? I’m always looking for new tips and tricks! And always remember…
