Happy hump day, friends and welcome back! I hope your week has gotten off to a stellar start and that you’re crushing those goals you set on Monday! In case you missed my last post and are wondering how the Timberlake concert went…it was I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. I was ridiculously close to the stage and if the octave of my screams were any indication, I’m certain that 12 year old Brittney was definitely in attendance that night. If you’re craving a little JT action on this gloomy (at least for me) Wednesday morning, head over to my Instagram, you won’t be disappointed.
Now back to the topic at hand. A little over a month ago I was contacted by Voyage ATL, an online magazine showcasing influencers in and around the Atlanta area. They asked me if I’d be interested in participating in a piece they titled, The Trailblazers: Rewriting the Narrative. It highlights female role models from various avenues (science, law, athletics, etc.) and celebrates their many achievements. While I don’t necessarily consider myself a role model (it just sounds weird when I say it out loud), I certainly try to carry myself and live in a way that makes my family & friends proud. I love sharing my story and hope that it inspires creativity within the community (blogging and otherwise) and fosters a more tight knit relationship with like-minded women (and men).
After much thought, I decided to move forward with the interview; so if you’re interested in learning a little bit more about me and my journey, I will leave the link below so you can check it out! Before I go, I just want to say THANK YOU; the support you guys have shown me over the last year means the world to me and doesn’t go unnoticed, I promise. And to those of you that think your work isn’t good enough and are considering throwing in the towel, don’t. Keep going. Keep moving forward and believe in yourself and what you bring to the table. I know people like to make you think the table isn’t big enough for multiple influencers, especially women, but I’m here to tell you that it is, at least my table is. So if you need a seat, I’ve got one for you. Now go shine your light on someone today and show them how wonderful you are!
Again, thank you so much for all of your support. I love you guys more than you know and hope you enjoy the interview! Talk soon!
XOXO,
B
